NAU MAI, HAERE MAI - WELCOME TO ARARIMU SCHOOL

The Board of Trustees, Staff, Students and Principal would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our website.

Ararimu is a small rural school with an enviable reputation.  It offers a wide curriculum for Year 1 – 8 pupils.  Students achieve well and we encourage and welcome students who are self managing learners.

The Ararimu Valley is within a 15 minute drive time from both Papakura and Pukekohe.  The school sits in a valley bordered by the Bombay Hills to the south-west and the Hunua Ranges to the north-east.

Our educational goal is to provide an environment that is positive, progressive, stimulating, rewarding and FUN!  An environment that provides for the development of each child's individual potential. We aim, with the involvement of parents, to develop confident, happy, independent students by providing programmes of work that cater for all levels of achievement, concentrating on individual needs across the curriculum.

At Ararimu we value the importance of the school and home partnership in making these goals a reality.  Our school and wider community are exceptional and support our students fully in their learning.

We invite you to visit us in person to see how fantastic we are.  Your child's time at Ararimu School will be a rewarding educational experience.

We are a high achieving small rural Decile 10 school established in 1867. There is a long farming history with the founding families descendants still evident in the school and community.  Our school houses are named after these families. Today lifestyle blocks dominate, with the majority of our parents working  in the Auckland CBD or Hamilton which are 50 minutes to 1 1/2 hour from Ararimu. The school is the centre of the Ararimu community and is well supported by the parents and the community.

I invite you to come and have a look around - I am sure you will like what you see.
